6. B. IV.

Further to our telegram of date :-

"GRYLLS 6.B. SEND NEW TOP AND BOTTOM OILPIPES
"TO TECALEMIT FILTER. - WALLER.

It was necessary to run this car home after yet another breakage of the pipes with a standard Bentley pipe cutting out the filter. We have now robbed 3.B.IV. of its pipes so that mileage can be continued on 6.B.IV. as GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} has instructed that this car shall have precedence.

Thicker gauge pipes are required and it should be carefully noted that there is no reduction in thickness where the pipe enters the nipple. This was the case with the top pipe that cracked.

Meanwhile, 3.B.IV. is held up awaiting the pipes, and instructions regarding the rear brakes.
