small capacity (less than 15 amperes). It has a further disadvantage that the dynamo will still charge the battery after the fuse has gone, but with an unsatisfactory characteristic curve.

(c). The provision of both main negative and control circuit fuses as at present Lucas practice, gives only partial protection (same as (b)) of the A type. It may give complete protection of the B type if the dynamo is cold but may fail to give any protection if the dynamo is hot.

(d). The provision of a system of fuses as described for motor cycle set would probably give complete protection of both the A and B type except in so far that in the B case the field circuit would be left on the battery.
