HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ) FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} ) C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} C. to DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} OFFICIAL BONNET LOCKS. Regarding the question of standardising the latest design of bonnet lock (which would increase the cost of the chassis by 25/-) R.{Sir Henry Royce} instructs me to say that he is quite agreeable to deleting bonnet locks from both chassis as a standard fitting, and only putting them on when specially required by customers, but, bonnet locks so fitted should be of the latest design. x7260.
