Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.29/JH.8.1.37. Bentley - Side Spare Wheel Carrier Led.5252. Re E.1/Hr..7.1.37. We have bumped this carrier for 17 hours using 3" cams. The test was stopped owing to a failure of a front spring. As the front springs were new when this carrier was fitted we conclude that the life of carrier is greater than the life of our standard springs. We think this carrier could be lightened considerably. At the moment it weighs 3 lbs. 6 ozs. more than the present Bentley side spare wheel carrier. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.{Ivan A.
