E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and myself arrived at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence Saturday afternoon and stayed with R.{Sir Henry Royce} until the following Friday afternoon. We were astonished at R's rapid recovery, in fact, we got the impression that the enforced rest had given him renewed energy. The discussions which took place were more or less of a general character and the observations we give below should not be taken as definite conclusions. 25 HP. R.{Sir Henry Royce} expressed himself strongly on the fact that our demonstration 25 HP. car which went to Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence was a six seater. We tried to convey to him that the majority of the 25 HP. cars we came in contact with had got light four seater bodies, but it was necessary to have a range of bodies on demonstration cars. It was difficult to convince R.{Sir Henry Royce} that the present 20/25 HP. car is an entirely different proposition to the old 20 HP. which we were selling last year. His ambition is to have a 25 HP car a replica of the Phantom in every way. It is agreed that the new 25 HP. which R.{Sir Henry Royce} has in mind is not yet designed. Although the power unit will be on the lines of 'Japan' there are several design questions to be settled. We look forward to the fact that as soon as a | ||
