engine heat. Such a compromise is unfortunate, but inevitable, and the 10,000 miles appears to have shown that our conjectures were mainly reasonable.

We entirely agree with and endorse the remarks relative to the oil being likely to congeal in the shock damper levers in cold weather; but a drip-plug in the ball end would necessitate a flexible connection, and if we could use use this, we could also feed the axles from the centre-point. We suggest this is a strong argument in favour of lubrication from a single point.

We believe until such time, however, S1 drip-plugs in the damper casings giving, 15 drops per shot, should be ample. Certainly, S2 plugs are far too large and would upset the general distribution of pressure.
