W/S. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. DH.{D. Henderson - Showroom} c. LH.{Mr Haworth} 560 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}13/R.30.7.37. GAN-54 - LONDON TRIALS. The clutch on this car was covered in oil. This must either have been due to somebody over-filling the crankcase, or a leak from the rear main bearing of the car. It is not easy to reproduce a bearing leak at will. We, therefore, recommend that you should keep the car under observation, and if this leak is not due to over-filling, it should recur; if it does recur it will mean that the crank-case bearings require attention.
