| X8830. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} G to Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} [struck through] D/BP6/OG23.4.29 Re: Chassis 8-EX. This car is being re-conditioned by 'Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}' for disposal by Sales Dept. second-hand. It is fitted with a Hooper Limousine body, and it is doubtful whether it will be of any use to Sales Dept. for instructional purposes, and we are asked if it can be made use of by you for further experimental work, or by 'Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}' for test purposes. The chassis will probably be put into use at the Instruction School and be fitted with one of the existing bodies. D/BP | ||
