Ha/Wst.12/WA.{Mr Wallis} 2nd July, 1935. 6135 Mr. C.T.Nichols, Messrs. S.Smith & Sons, Ltd., Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2. Dear Mr.Nichols, I have a scheme in mind, which might be applicable to the more expensive cars, of automatically disconnecting the horn from the horn button and connecting the latter to the headlamps during the silent zone. I am proposing to apply for a provisional patent covering the scheme and wondered whether you would be sufficiently interested to consider making up a sample unit for a Rolls-Royce car. The scheme is briefly as indicated on the attached diagram in which a time switch attachment is fitted to the clock and connecting to a relay for operating the headlamps. I should value your comments on the scheme. Yours sincerely, | ||
