Re. DEPOT SHEET NO. 306. USE OF LEAD PETROLS. With reference to H.7/H.27.7.36 we have not sufficient experience with Alcohol petrol mixtures available on the Continent to give a general recommendation of them. We have definite experience with 'Esso' which is obtainable throughout France and Germany, and parts of Italy and the Near East. We should also be prepared to recommend 'Azur' which is mainly obtainable in France. With regard to other Alcohol Petrol Mixtures we think that the matter should periodically be referred to the Paris Depot as they have wider experience than we have on the subject. Furthermore, they can keep track of the various changes which continually take place in the mixture supplied from lesser known proprietory brands. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
