c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} 800b 10th. March 1939. BY.1/N. Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Dear Sir, Re: 3.B.50. We confirm that during Messrs. Evernden and Draper's visit on Tuesday the 7th. March, we left with you blueprints of the top bonnet plates EB.3849/50, and prints of the side plates EB.4458/9 you received on Friday the 3rd.March. The bonnet top plates sent for you to fit to the above car were found to be approximately 1.000" too wide at the rear end. It was agreed that you should cut away the outer edge, re-shape and weld together again. The position of the rear bonnet eye also required moving rearwards about 3.000" to suit the sloping dashboard. Will you please note that we do not wish to fit the special type of ashtray, which we sent to fit in the instrument board in place of the Ferranti wireless controls, as we do not like its appearance. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS. | ||
