CONTINUATION SHEET No. 1.

Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., Derby.

available at the time, and it was understood here that this particular instrument was to be used by you entirely for a performance check, as distinct from an appearance check. We are sorry to learn that there has been some misunderstanding regarding this point, about which you should undoubtedly have been advised in the first instance. We will however arrange to have these odometer wheels reprinted, and will then resubmit the instrument to you.

We trust that you understood a further difference which there is between this instrument and those you have been using up to date, and that is the fact that we have arranged for a flat dial, whereas your standard instrument dial is dished. Again this was arranged in this fashion on the understanding that you required the instrument rather for a performance check as distinct from an examination of its appearance and lighting. Would you be good enough to advise us whether you also require this point to be modified to bring it into line with your existing instruments.

Apologising for any inconvenience which these various points may have caused you, and assuring you of our immediate co-operation with regard to your detailed requirements, we are

Yours faithfully,
THE AC-SPHINX SPARKING PLUG CO. LTD.
