Dear Sirs,

STEERING GEAR CAM ROLLERS:

With reference to your letter of the 17th instant regarding the above, it will be remembered that we have discussed this matter on the 'phone, and are proceeding to finish off two only off each our B.10023 and B.10024, the balance of four off each being made with the narrow grooves as requested in your letter.

As explained during our telephone conversation and in our previous letter, it was definitely our intention to make these grooves narrower, this being our own original suggestion, but owing to a misunderstanding in our Designs Department they were made to your drawing, at least as regards width.

However, we are confident that the wider groove will not cause any trouble in the job, as in increasing the ball track diameter, we have reduced the actual stress in the piece, but, on the other hand, we agree that it is desirable to have the maximum strength in this member, and therefore all subsequent components will be as required.

With regard to the question of delivery, we note your requirements as to the two off each of these sizes, and every effort is being made to get these away to you.
