Further to our memo Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/S'2/L221113, we wish to add that the weight of a standard Throttle and Induction Pipe is 17 lbs 4 ozs. The weight of an L.to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Throttle and Induction Pipe 18 lbs 4 ozs. Weight of new type Throttle and Induction Pipe 17 lbs 12 ozs. You may notice that this does not agree with Mr Hives previous report on the weight contained in our memo referred to above, but he explains in the first case he was weighing the throttle only, whereas now the weights are for the combined throttle and induction pipe. p.
