To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG19.7.21. X.4275 U.S.A. Bosch Battery Ignition. With reference to your query, whether it is possible to start the engine by switching on and retarding the ignition when the above type of battery ignition is fitted. We find that it is possible to do so with the set which was sent over on 4.EX Car. In this respect, the ignition is as good as our own.
