- 2 - I expect to be home by Wednesday night, after spending Wednesday in London, where I shall be pleased to see you if you are in Town. Possibly you may have sent the design of stays for "Eagle" IX carburetters. One considers we ought to send these out very quickly, for very right and convenient to put on to existing engines. Shall be pleased to hear the cause of piston trouble, which seemed to me to be insufficient oil spray or too effective scraper rings. I was very pleased with the going of No. 5 Goshawk, especially with low pressure tyres, which are a great improvement, and I should go all out for these on Goshawks, saving the passenger, chassis, and body from fatigue and noise, something toward an increase in our motto of "repose". Shall also be pleased to hear if He. has made any progress in slow running with E.A.C.E. The last run on this left me with an excellent impression, with the exception of following slowly traffic without missing, especially after a burst of speed. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
