S/W. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} "Motor Sport". 1378 1941 Pub. Campaign Bs{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager}2/KW21.1.41. Further to my Bs{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager}8/KW15.1.41. I have now received a letter from Mr.Boddy dated 20th January, from which the following is an extract :- " I shall send a copy of the Mark V test report to Mr.Robotham " at Belper in the course of next few days. I think there " will just be time to include it in the February issue. " I propose to put Mr.Robotham's own article into this issue, " as it could not be got into the January issue, to invite him " to comment in print if he wishes on our test impressions, and " to include a description of the Merlin engine. So it will " be quite a Rolls-Royce number. " The article on Rolls-Royce history under the heading " On " Something in the English Tradition", appears in the January " issue just published. Since Mr. Boddy is proposing to submit a copy of his article to you, you will now have the opportunity of dealing with any aspect of it with which you are not in agreement. I have not yet received copies of the January issue of "Motor Sport", but I have a note to forward a copy to you when they come to hand. Bs.{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager} SS{S. Smith} | ||
