To RG.{Mr Rowledge} from R, c. to CJ. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} L4123 R5/M19.3.26. RE. EAGLES 8. & 9. X.3989 X.4123 X.3862 I cannot think it is right to make these cylinders with inserted valve seats at this eleventh hour. I fear it is the wearing of the guides allowing scrubbing of the faces that cause seats to wear. We do m the same on our new engines, and Condor perhaps? Has this been confirmed.
