26.G.VI. - 25/30 H.P.

Owing to the present situation where you are held up for Wraith crankcase owing to drawing not being completed, we are very short of Wraith cars with even reasonably up-to-date engine units. We, therefore, want to get 26.G.VI on the road again as soon as possible with the engine unit re-built to the necessary parts. At the same time, however, we do want to inspect this chassis with a view to seeing if any modifications ought to be incorporated before it continues running.

Will you, therefore, please dismantle the chassis, and carry out an inspection as quickly as possible. Will you also replace the necessary parts in the engine unit.

As soon as the inspection of any section is completed, will you please re-build.

Will you please make a set of new type engine mounting pieces for this car as at present fitted to the bump, and re-build it with these parts.

Also, please cut up the cylinder head so that we can investigate if this has anything to do with exhaust valve failure.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}

P.S. We should like to run the up-to-date brake parts for this car on the close-coupled Wraith until 26.G.VI gets on the road again.
