X4545 To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. BJ6/H29.9.22. Re Mr. Royce's Goshawk for Trials. X4545 X4219 We telephoned the following message to your office this morning, and asked you to discuss the matter with Bs. {A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager} , who is at Derby to-day:- "Please see that the trials Goshawk (Mr. Royce's Goshawk) which you are sending for demonstration here is in good condition in outward appearance or if anything can be done in time to make it better, as we want it to look very smart. If necessary it would be better to have it sent to London to be varnished or painted at once and send it to Mr. Royce at a later date for him to be photographed init, as a photograph of Mr. Royce will always get into the press and we have plenty to send to the press at present."
