(10) EWE. will persevere with jacking schemes alternative to the J.H.S. Hydraulic. 2 CREEDS โœ“
(11) Steadman will urge the completion of radiator tests.
(12) Hardy will examine SS{S. Smith}-KX steering box for oil leaks and report on it. Want it clutching
(13) Swindall will get the flame trap to Lec. 4755 on the test bed and test it. MORE INFORMATION REQD.
(14) Ll.smith will look into the following point -
(a) Advantage of engine gears at the rear as on J-lll in reducing the effective length of the engine.
(b) The weight saving that could be effected by making J-lll into a Bentley stroke.
(c) The largest bore possible with J-lll as a dry liner engine.
(15) Bowering will consider a switch for the petrol pumps coupled to the starter, so that once the engine has stopped, the pumps are out of action until the starter has been pressed again. Continue with EXP
(16) Matthews will urge a set of fully split die-cast pistons (SpectreCodename for Phantom III) and experiment with various beddings to overcome the piston knocks which have been complained of. I have written to skinner re S.U. pistons.
