N-W Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} --- X60.05 Br2/A.{Mr Adams} 2.2.33 ----------- Technical - Inaccessibility of lubricator to rear bearing of dynamos on 25 H.P. chassis ---------------------------------------- We have received several complaints that on the latest type 25 H.P. car it is difficult to get at the above mentioned lubricator, owing to the fact that the end cover of the dynamo will not clear same because of the lagging of the exhaust standpipe. We are able to point out to the drivers that it is possible to half turn the cover so that the standpipe of the lubricator can come opposite to the drain hole in the cover, and thus enable the lubrication to take place without difficulty. It has struck us, however, that you may consider it an advantage to have a D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} section hole in place of the present small round drain hole in the cover, so that when it is brought opposite the lubricator it would pass right over the cap to make it easier for the cap to be removed. Perhaps you will let us know if you care for this slight modification. WST Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} | ||
