| 450b. To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Chateauroux. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}8/MH.{M. Huckerby}17.3.39. 8.B.V. TYRES. I have been trying to check up for Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} the average tyre mileage on this car, but find it is very difficult to do from the Daily Reports as the records of mileage are entirely understandable for the first 15,000 miles and for the subsequent driving by Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} and Lewis, but after that become almost impossible to understand. When Rose and Gardiner took over there was no record of mileage for several weeks. Can you, therefore, elucidate the figures, showing how long each tyre ran and what kind it was.
