| -2- There are bad oil leaks from the clutch pit (rear main bearing) and various other points on the unit, due, we think, partially to the absence of the carburetter air intake connection to the crankcase. We attach curves shewing the losses in the exhaust system, and the advantage gained at low speeds with an earlier tuning. They are comparative only, as the head on which they were taken had not been trepanned and so was about 10 B.H.P. down at the peak.
