Dear Sir,

In Mr.Winter's absence I am acknowledging the receipt of your letter of the 22nd instant with regard to Mr.Burns' car.

Mr.Winter will see your letter on his return to the factory tomorrow, but in the meantime you may rest assured that when Mr.Burns brings the car to Coventry our Service Manager will see that it is given every attention, particularly in regard to the gearbox point you mention.
