(I thank you for your memo Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/Herd/) It is convenient to us when we are informed for what actual load the springs will be used for, (as on the chassis test reports), so if you will do so in this case I shall be glad. We have gathered the following information:- The coachwork weighs about twelve cwt. The maximum and perhaps usual load in London is five passengers (no luggage). The maximum and usual load on tour is five passengers and one and a half cwts. of luggage. We calculate the maximum load on chassis to be about 24 cwts. As without doubt the present springs are overloaded, will you please at once send a new set to Messrs. Todd & Wright, Coachbuilders, Craven Road, Paddington, W., and I will have them fitted.
