Referring to R's suggestion that Mr. Hardy and I should visit Derby if necessary, we both think that for the moment, as far as getting these shock dampers on both axles of both cars is concerned, we shall do better to work at them here. If however you are in difficulties with the working of the shock damper we shall of course be pleased to do anything you may wish, that is possible.

We expect to send you the proposals for attaching to the 40/50 back axle in the course of a day or two.

With reference to the suggested run on the EAC.7. car etc., I shall of course await information from you on this point, as I do not know what is available, or what kind of a test you may wish to do.
