2 FO To JUEFCs from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Copy to CJ. ORIGINAL. R1/G7/7/21. [Handwritten:] X.438 4 [PURPLE TRIANGLE STAMP] RE "GOSHAWK II" STARTER MOTOR. RECEIVED We are very pleased to receive your calculations which seem quite satisfactory. Certainly the total flux and the flux density in the teeth is as high as I should have recommended, as it demands such a large percentage of the ampere turns. Does Mr. Brock and the winder agree that sections of wire on the armature and on the fields are practical ? We hope to send you this week a large amount of the practical mechanical construction of this motor. I think 7½ turns of field wire had better be also tried. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
