To BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [Handwritten]: X Hunt HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 4/LG24.2.27. DUNLOP JACK. We agree, that as we have no selection and are at present supplying an unsuitable jack, we cannot be too critical. As regards the height, we must either fit jack pads on the rear axle to lower the jack position 1.5", or we must be content to jack up under the front spring (as we have always done) and make the base of the jack 1.5" higher. We recommend the jack pads. The base of the jack should be made in alum. We should like Dunlops to supply us with a modified jack which we could submit to Sales so that they can make arrangements for stowing it on the cars. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
