FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
FOR THE
NEW PATENT SPRING LUBRICATOR
AND GAITER.

Manufactured Solely by
J. {Mr Johnson W.M.} WITHERS & SON LTD.,
WISEMORE STREET, WALSALL.

Owing to the special design and simplicity of fastening, few instructions are necessary, but we make the following suggestions:—

1st. Thoroughly cleanse the Springs of the Car by brushing with a stiff brush with Paraffin Oil. If they are very badly rusted it is advisable to remove wheels and separate the leaves, greasing in between same with suitable lubricant.

2nd. Open each Gaiter out and fill up grease cells on either side. This is easily done by taking an old knife, and with it smearing grease right along each liner, see that each cell is well filled.

3rd. Place Gaiter on top of Spring, taking care that the right one is used (the lengths making this quite obvious), the lacing up will present no difficulty whatever. Finally secure each end by strapping up, after which no further attention is necessary. The Springs will be fed continually with grease, and the difference when on the road will be appreciated.

It is desirable to use grease which will not set hard after being in use, and for this purpose a special grease has been prepared for us, which we can supply at 1/3 per lb., in 2 lb. tins. This grease lasts indefinitely, and adds great resiliency to the Springs.
