RE. GOSHAWK ENGINE.
INCREASE IN EFFICIENCY ETC. X.1725 X.4573 X.4134.

We are desirous of getting greater acceleration and power, and better economy with poor fuel and cold climates, and to do this we propose to make a permanent job of the exhaust heated throttle, to cancel the hot spot, and probably to divide the exhaust pipe into 2 sets of 3, as on the EAC. engine.

We assume that the larger crankshaft is now made standard with the old size of crankpin. We have not had the opportunity of judging whether any improvement can be made with a disc crankshaft, with or without lightening the flywheel, that is, for power and smoothness at high speeds.
