The other point, perhaps more important as far as I am concerned, is that I recognise how essential it is for Motor-car and Aero engine builders on this side to adopt the practice of regularly visiting U.S.A. to look up the developments. Of course a great deal of the success of the visit depends on the kindness and hospitality of yourself and other friends in U.S.A.

Although Mr. Lovesey's chief interest is aero engines, he will be interested in anything you have to show him. I have specially asked him to make enquiries about the new Delco dampers with automatic control and to get your advice whether you think it is worth while purchasing a set of these to bring back with him.

You will be very sorry to hear that Sir Henry has not been very well. He has not been out of bed for nearly three months. This does not prevent him from working however, and we occasionally meet him in the bedroom. He has aged tremendously these last two years and has lost a lot of weight. Physically he appears a wreck, but mentally he is just as alert as ever.

I dare say you will have heard that E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} is now established at Derby and doing engine work. I do not think R.{Sir Henry Royce} has yet quite forgiven him but it is the best thing for the job.

With very kind regards to Mrs. Olley, and the best of luck to you all,

Yours sincerely,

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s. report on the Dubonnet car will follow.
