Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 26th inst., with reference to 'Beaton' self-aligning hinges. We note your remarks with reference to self-lubricating bronze that you have carried out experiments with this material and found it unsatisfactory.

We shall be obliged if you will send us 20 hinge pins fitted with greaser nipples, suitable for 1 1/4" hinges, to replace those that are at present fitted on two of our cars. We have asked our Purchasing Department to send you our official order for these.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED,
