re. HORNS.

Your memo. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}7/M27.11.30. to hand.

Firstly the reasons you give for our wanting a two note electric horn are not quite correct. We do not wish to drop the deep noted Cobra Horn of the P.II. chassis as this is a most favoured feature of our car, also our fitting difficulties are very few now the horn is placed under the bonnet on the neat bracket made at W. I might mention that we experience no difficulty in selling this horn (approximately 200 sold in the last twelve months).

We are not so keen on the smaller bulb horn of the 20/25 h.p. chassis and also our standard Klaxon of both 20/25 h.p. and P.II. chassis is not favourably looked upon.

It really means we are looking for a horn of English manufacture, with notes similar to the Bosch, for our 20/25 h.p. chassis, to replace the present bulb and Klaxon horns. At the same time we want to replace the Klaxon on P.II. chassis with a horn having the higher note of the Bosch.

Acting on your previous verbal suggestion to me, the sample Klaxon two note horn has already been sent to EFO who has kindly promised to examine it with a view to improving the two tones.

Hdy.{William Hardy}
