168 To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y3458 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG22. 4. 25. BRAKE SQUEAKS. X̶3̶4̶5̶8̶ X4257 X.8360 We have tried a strip of Ferodo as you mention was being used on Morris Cowley cars. We find that it does undoubtedly make an improvement. It does not however entirely eliminate squeaks. There is still a slight squeak just as the car comes to rest. Squeaks are very elusive - some days the brakes appear to squeak much worse than others, therefore, it is very difficult, until a number of tests have been made, to say what percentage of improvement has been obtained.
