X1033 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}12/KW. 13th July,1935. The Zenith Carburetter Co. Ltd., 40-44 Newman St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}, LONDON, W.1. Dear Sirs, Re Stromberg Carburetters. We are expecting to have one of our cars available on Monday or Tuesday the 22nd or 23rd inst., fitted up with the induction pipe and hot spot which we have found best, with a view to finalising the carburetter. We will provide you with all particulars of the jets fitted to the carburetter, consumption obtained so far, etc., and also any defects we have observed. The car will be available for 3 or 4 days, which we hope will give you sufficient time to form an opinion as to whether any further bench tests will be necessary in order to complete the job. We do not know whether you can tackle the car at Derby, or whether you feel it essential that it should be in London. If so, it would be possible to arrange this. We should be glad if you could ring the undersigned up on Monday, and confirm details of the projected tests. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
