A union connection is shewn which should be experimentally connected to the low pressure oil system of the engine, with a view to seeing if this system of supply would be satisfactory.
The alternative to this would be to use a large grease stauffer, hand or mechanically operated.
Some alteration is shewn to the position of the carbur-ettor jacket water connection, and to the drain cock. The standard cock is used, but to enable it to be erected, the cock plug axis must be parallel to the crankshaft of the engine, or approximately so. We should be glad if you would find out if there is any objection to this position, and whether it is prefer-able to have the cock handle pointing forwards or backwards.
Would you please put in hand the necessary material for testing out this design, with a view to standardisation. The matter is regarded as being somewhat urgent.
