X.2628a CHASSIS FRONT SPRINGS.

With reference to the proposal to cut out the nibs and slots on the springs, nothing at the moment has been done definitely in regard to cutting these out on the Front springs.

The Rear Spring has been fully discussed in this connection, but the Front spring has so far had very little attention. Before however, deciding that the nibs and slots can be left out, I would like to have some definite assurance from the Design Dept. whether their requirements in this case would include an extra clip, or possibly the position of the present clip modified.

The point is of great importance as America are now demanding Front Springs, and I would therefore like to have definite instructions from Design on this point in the course of the next few days.
