In E1/G29821 replying to certain queries which I raised in connection with the above LeC's, Mr Elliott makes the following remark:- "There is a point with regard to the brushes which might be mentioned here. Morganite has been specified on the drawings for both the dynamo and the motor, but Mr Royce would like you to try in addition, a similar grade of Le Carbone for the dynamo, as the high quality of this product might give a very small coefficient of friction" We would naturally order the same quality morganite brushes for motor and dynamo respectively as are being used on the 40/50 motor and dynamo, but since Mr Royce appears to intend to experiment again on these points, we would like you to specify a particular type or quality of Morganite and also the Carbone which you consider most suitable.
