Bentley III - Tachometer Drive.

When we designed the tachometer drive which was shewn on the Wraith III drawing we consulted Mr Ashby as regards the possibilities of cutting the small pinion on the tachometer drive, and we were told that this could be done.

Now we are informed that this can only be done on the Maxicut machine, and it is not desirable because of the cost. Therefore, we have produced a further scheme removing the limitations so that the operation can be done on a normal gear cutter. This introduces more overhang on the bearing, but it is worth a trial.

We send you herewith LeC.5755 showing this revision.
