it is already obsolete. We therefore have no tyre we can fit on the well-based wheels at the moment.

As a result of our somewhat unfortunate position, we have endeavoured to impress upon Messrs. Dunlop the necessity of considering high speed wobbles seriously when altering a tread design, and they have agreed to carry out some special tests on this subject.

Undoubtedly the chief trouble has been occasioned by the fact that our adoption of the well-based wheel has coincided with a transition period in the tyre manufacturers' works. Nevertheless Messrs. Dunlop themselves are in rather an unhappy position, because they have concentrated their production on an article which they now find is not wholly acceptable to the consumer.

The Dunlop Co. have promised to let us have a set of their improved triple stud tyres in 3 or 4 weeks time.
