SECRET. 600. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/R.23.6.38. Experimental Wraith Cars. We have now got to a position where, from an economy point of view, we cannot justify the number of cars in the Experimental Dept. We have offered a car to Sales, but they cannot take it until the car is announced to the public in, say, three months' time. We think it is most unfortunate that a Wraith car should be standing for six months when it might be doing useful running. We would like to suggest that EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} should run a Wraith car instead of the 25/30 which he at present has. If the bonnet was locked and a 40/50 licence taken out for three months, we do not see how anybody could tell that it was a P.III. In three months' time we should almost certainly have another Wraith car to spare. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
