1038 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}5/JH. 3rd. April, 1939. The Zenith Carburetter Co.Ltd., Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, MIDDLESEX. For the attention of Mr. A.E. Palmer. Dear Sirs, We have just received a complaint of the choke valve sticking on a Wraith carburetter, with the request for modification (i.e. relieved bearings). We cannot understand this as the modification should have been carried out by your goodselves. We are requesting the number of the carburetter in question and will forward this to you later. Will you please let the writer know the number of the carburetter first issued with the thick strangler plate. It is understood that the relieved bearings were still applied to the larger diameter spindle in a proportionate manner (see our letter Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}11/JH. 10th. June 1938). Yours faithfully, FOR, ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
