Please quote our reference: S.10. 17th December, 1938. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Attention of C.S.Steadman, Esq. Dear Sirs, We must again apologise for the delay in quoting you for the Electric Motor as promised in our letter of the 5th instant. The position is that we are at the moment buying American motors and these, we are afraid, are a little more expensive than those which will eventually be produced in this country. The British motor is not yet available and therefore we are forced to withhold a quotation until later date. In the meantime we can only quote for the American motor as under:- 500 12-volt Electric Motors suitable for operating with our Heater - sample already in your possession - Price ..... 13/- each nett. We presume you do not wish us to quote for the rheostat switch as we understand you have one available with which you are satisfied. Incidentally our stock is American although eventually we shall have a British product. We shall be pleased to hear from you with regard to the heater left with you for test purposes. Yours faithfully, For S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LTD. F.{Mr Friese} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Moore. To avoid delay all envelopes should be addressed to the firm. | ||
