headcloth, fittings,etc., and with steel wing.

It was agreed that Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} would impress upon Mr. Ward that the car which was allotted to Lappin' out of the first 6, should be finished in this manner.

Anticipated cost reductions from this alteration in materials, based on figures supplied by Mr. Green, were as follows:-

(a) Wings. £ 16. 0. 0.
(b) Trimming. 10. 0. 0.
(c) Joiners. 10. 0. 0.
(d) Painters. 3. 10. 0.
(e) Electrical 0. 5. 0.
(f) Smiths. 0. 1. 0.
---------
£ 39. 16. 0.
=========

This would bring the material cost of a B.V. body to £81. 13. 0. a figure which would not be reduced much further. It was agreed that it would be difficult to get firm costs at the present moment, but any reductions achieved could be based on pre-war figures.

PROCEDURE TO OBTAIN THE £150 BODY.

It was agreed that there did not seem to be any advantage in attempting to plan the fabrication of a £150 body at Park Ward's as there seemed little probability of it ever being made there.
