With reference to Hl.11/FJW8.1.29. In our report Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/SnL/LG13.10.28. we stated that the cyl. liners were ground after hardening. This confirms Hl's deduction that the cyl. liners were ground to remove the brittle surface.
