I told Moore that I should like to consider making his torque converter in the form of die castings.

It seemed to me that with our expert knowledge of light alloy and exceptional foundry facilities at Glasgow, we should at least give the matter some consideration.

Attached is a copy of Moore's reply to my suggestion, together with his comments on the problems involved in using light alloy.

Since the Turbo Transmitter has a very strong chance of coming back into the Carrier picture, I should like Tln. to let me have his views on what Moore says.

I have full detail drawings of the transmitter if these are required, but I was proposing to keep them to submit to Vickers.

Incidentally, if we can make the Turbo Transmitter in light alloy, it would be interesting to know what weight would be saved over the present construction.
