Thank you for your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst1/MA18.6.32. Your remarks are very interesting as to the mounting of two horns detuned and synchronised. The only objection I can see to the scheme is one of expense, as it means that we have to supply two horns instead of one. I don't think there is any necessity for us to do that at the present time when one of the Lucas H.F.No.722 seems to meet the case very well.

In connection with this you will have a seen a copy of PN{Mr Northey}'s memo (PN{Mr Northey}3/WT22.6.32) which makes a suggestion which you may like-to act on in conjunction with Lucas'.

Quite apart from the question of expense, which I think is undesirable, we could not give any approval until we had had an opportunity of hearing the horns and judging the effect and sound generally.
