(3) At present it seems that either a series of masked valves giving a range of clearances up to .010" will be required, or else holes must be drilled through the valve to suit individual dampers, unless it can be established that with correctly aligned valves, and sylphons, that one definite clearance will suit all dampers of this type. With regard to the pressure created in the sylphon by drilling the HP valve leak, the same modifications, which were effective in the case of No1, also cured No2 damper. | ||
