Replying to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CWH.9/AP.20.5.37. we are satisfied that we obtain the best compromise in lighting for the present flat type of dial, which is possible, by the various changes which have been recently made. We hope, however, in the near future to introduce concave dials, which appears to be the only real remedy for this particular complaint. Expt Dept Loughboro - have By BY.{R.W.
